Jake leaned down closer, lessening the gap between their faces
slightly. His arms were on either side of her body and she felt encircled

Resting a hand against Dominic's ass, Grif’s fingers kneaded into the tight leather. “Believe me, I wasn't talking about watching them now.” He tilted Dominic’s head up and pressed a soft kiss to his lover’s lips.

“Good. Take me home and I’ll fuck you through the mattress.” Dominic stepped back and helped Grif back down, taking hold of his hand to lead the way out of the club.

Positively grinning like the cat that got all the cream, Grif let Dominic lead him. As he looked towards the door, he saw a face that sent a chill rushing through him, and his mind blanked. When he blinked, nobody was there. He couldn't have seen what he thought he did. Blinking rapidly in confusion, he swiftly scanned the bar as he before hurrying to catch up with Dominic.

“Griffith? You all right?”

Nothing and nobody seemed out of place in the bar. There was no way in hell he could have seen his former Master. Looking back at Dominic, he nodded slightly. “Yeah, I'm fine.” Tugging at Dominic's hand, Grif pulled his lover quickly out of the bar.

In full form, Shaun lazed in the backyard near the pond Ashley had built. Though his master had stocked it with fish, Shaun had a very hard time trying not to get the golden fish as they swam by the paw he dangled in the water.

Knowing he would probably get in trouble if Ashley came home from work and found him with wet paws, Shaun backed up slowly, trying to ignore the lure of the flashes dancing beneath the surface. Sometimes he became antsy within the confines of the house and spent time prowling and pacing the back yard. The large, surrounding fence insured their privacy from the homes behind theirs. Instead of ignoring the fish as he should, their mesmerizing darts across the pond had Shaun fixated on them.

"I counted those fish when I put them in, Kitten."

Shaun's whiskers twitched in reaction to his master’s voice. Ashley had named every blasted one of them as well. A fact Shaun couldn't figure out at all. Why give your food names? Settling back on his haunches, he chuffed his disagreement to his master.

One corner of Ashley's mouth twitched slightly. He stepped off the back porch and walked over to the pond. After making a show of counting each and every of the twenty-two fish, he reached out to scratch Shaun's head.

Lifting his paw, Shaun lazily licked the incriminating wetness away, giving his master a bland, harmless 'I'm not guilty of anything' look. A quick dart of his eyes back at the pond had the cat plotting each of those twenty-two fishes' demises.

A collective hiss of breath slid through the crowd and Ian
suppressed his own reaction. Fuck. Alan's skill was close to his own, and
each hit landed with expert precision. Another blow snapped bright red
across Kale's buttocks and the muscles in Kale's arms jumped. A groan
somewhere close by met the rock of Kale's hips into the cross.

Sweet Jesus.

Aware of David still watching him, Ian's expression retained a bland
edge as he studied the other two men closely. Apparently
unresponsiveness wasn't a particular problem for Kale. Not with the way
his body arched in expectation of the blow to come, then tried to find
relief from the sharp rise of need. Tilting his head slightly, one of Ian's
fingers idly tapped at his lips as he continued to watch.

"I know that look," David said, leaning close. "I'd be happy to
introduce you when the scene is over."

Alan's whip drew up another brilliant red line across Kale's
buttocks. Kale pulled on the restraints, body surging instinctively
upward.

Ian rarely showed a great deal of interest in anything around him,
and he wasn't about to start now. Glancing over at David, Ian gave him a
noncommittal answer. "If you want to."

When Alan coiled his whip, the silence in the room was deafening.
"Come."

With that one word, Kale's head fell back and he cried out, body
shaking as his seed spilled onto the stage. A ripple of groans followed,
moving through the crowd in response.

The instantaneous response to the one word intrigued Ian, more so
because no touch seemed to be required. His gaze followed the quivering
line of the sub's body. "He is a beautiful creature, I will agree to that,
David." A faint smile curled his lips as his gaze stayed on Kale.

"You don't know the half of it, my friend."

Closing his eyes, the massaging of Ashley's fingers served to relax Shaun very nicely. The tiniest
flicker of sound eased from his throat, barely perceptible but there. Small tilts of his head guided Ashley's hands as his own fingers kneaded slightly to the porcelain tub's rim.

Ashley picked up a nearby cup and filled it with water. He slipped his hand beneath Shaun's chin to tilt his head back gently. "Shh," he murmured, smiling. "I'm only rinsing."

A touch of nervousness had returned with the feel of Ashley's hand, but Shaun relaxed, letting
Ashley rinse out the shampoo. It was a strange thing for this man to want to do this. Blinking up at Ashley, he saw the smile but didn't return the gesture.

When he finished rinsing the shampoo out, Ashley set the cup down and moved away. "Thank you," he said as he sat on the floor, leaning against the wall. "I haven't done that in…" He closed his eyes as his words trailed off. "For some time," he finished quietly.

"It means something to you?" Shaun was not at all certain what to make of Ashley. Slowly standing, water ran down his body in little rivers, dripping back to the tub. Lifting his hands, he pulled back his hair to wring out the water.

"More than I should probably dwell on," Ashley said. "I used to do it for my lover. He was a were as well, although I loathed the thought of calling him my 'pet.' I'd forgotten how relaxing such simple acts could be. Thank you for allowing me that small pleasure."

When they entered the library, Grif turned to face him. For a moment, he was unable
to hide the need he felt for Dominic, but it'd been a long time since it'd shown itself. The
pain and hurt inside him lingered and wouldn't go away. Veiling it behind a blink of his
eyes, he nodded. "Maybe you should make inroads into that bottle of brandy to get you
started." Smiling, he turned away to settle back on the couch.

Dominic smiled and went over to the wet bar. He picked up the bottle and began
drinking the brandy straight out of it. He sat down on the couch across from Grif, twisting
so he could face him. He tipped the bottle up again, swallowing large amounts in rapid
succession. When he finally set the bottle down, it was empty. "Thank God we don't have
to worry about alcohol poisoning," he said.

Grif half sprawled against the cushions and watched. None of this surprised him.
The other vampire had been there for him every time, and now was no different. Even
though Dominic might not understand what he gave to Grif, Grif sure as hell knew. A
quiet, grateful look held Dominic for a long moment. "I can always share afterwards. If
you need a good binge."

Dominic crooked his finger, beckoning Grif to him. His head tipped to the side,
baring his throat in invitation. "Drink, love. It will help." His smile was warm as he
added, "And I just might take you up on that."

As his gaze lowered to the line of Dominic's neck, a surge of hunger rolled through
Grif. He moved from his position, folding his legs under him to crawl across the couch.
Once he was close enough, his head immediately nudged against Dominic's throat before
his fangs dropped to pierce the skin.

A gasp escaped Dominic and his hand slid through Grif's hair to hold him. I am
always here, love. Whenever you need me, even if it is only to do this.

Grif's mouth caught the first spurt of the heavily-flavored blood, then tightened to
take more after he swallowed. I need you again, my friend. I'm so sorry.

As you all know, Phaze is my main publisher, right? Well, Phaze sells through Fictionwise too. I don't get nearly as much per book sold there as I do when it's sold through Phaze, but it's a big old store and they sell a lot of books. I don't usually check very often, but since Scorpio went live I admit I've checked every few days. It started out in number 37 position in the Phaze store at Fictionwise and I was kind of down. #37 isn't great. I checked a few days later and it had risen to #20 something, and I figured that was going to be it. Well, hot damn, I checked this morning and.... drum roll please... It's moved into #8 position. Whoo Hooo! Yup, I'm thrilled. #8 isn't #1, but it's definitely up there and I'm really happy. I just had to share. I can't stop smiling. *G*

ARTIFACTUAL is a highly entertaining erotic tale about a pair of likable people and a very unusual erotic shop and museum. The sex is sizzling, the dialogue witty and the character interaction charming. Watching the relationship unfold between Mandy and Bruce from a close friendship in Erotique, to a completely committed couple in Closing Arguments is the best part of the anthology. However, the evolving mystery about Aunt Vivian, Erotique, the shop, and the "haunted" sexual apparatuses in the museum is just as enjoyable. Secondary characters are not really present in the first two stories, but Professor Eddie features prominently in Amichu and Closing Arguments, and Aunt Vivian may be dead, but she's never really far away. While the sex is hot in each story, the last two tales focus more on plot and characterization than on sex -- my favorite of them all is Switch. It was fun, different and extremely sensual.

ARTIFACTUAL is an enjoyable collection of stories about a couple who are realistically and lovingly portrayed with enough sizzling sex to please any reader. Don't miss this fun and sexy read.

Back from RT...

Ok so we have been for a while but i have been recouping and hanging out with my sister. Shes home now, and that rocks, but im sad that i wont get to see her till next year.

RT was awesome! We got some amazing pictures, and went wild and actually sold books at the book fair! So thanks to everyone who bought it, you totally made the trip to RT worth it! We also give out a LOT of goodies and promo, and I'm happy to say it wasn't a wasted trip.

Next year is going to be truly insane as ill be there as a publisher, review house, cover artist and author, and im excited to say we will have 8 books in print bu then, a whole lot of goodies and promo stuff for all that pulp!

And I'm SO excited cuz ill be rooming with my sister and Rene and another crazy lunatic... fun times! So lets see, RT 2007 highlights?
