Happy New Year's everyone!

It's time to end the year 2011, whether we are ready or not--and I am ready!!

I am finding myself looking back over the year and evaluating what I did well and what didn't work. I think 2011 kicked my butt and then turned around and did it again. My husband lost his eye this year and my babygirl underwent a her first surgery. My rpriorities changed and I began to deal with what was most important to me--family. I stopped writing for the first half of the year and then took it up again in Summer and Fall and I think my word count for the year ended up being around 80,000 words. Not bad for putting my writing on a back burner. It's been quite a ride. Now I can't wait for this year to end so I can take the reins back to my life and get this horse and pony show started. lol

In 2012 I already have two releases scheduled and plans to use my time more wisely. I have a few friends that have already written down a list of the books they plan to write. Me? I'm not so organized, but I will be writing.

Phaze Books Seeking Submissions for 2012

It's amazing to believe we are now entering our eighth year. Since our launch in 2004, we have offered readers a variety of delicious romances and sizzling erotic stories, and we hope to keep you satisfied in years to com (heh). We'd like to thank our authors, staff, reviewers, retailers, supporters and readers for a great first eight years, and we will work to publish more hot stories in the next eight...hundred or so. ;-)

With this in mind, we are open to submissions for the 2012 calendar year. Our books have won numerous reviewer awards and EPIC nominations, and our books and authors have been featured in Playgirl, RT Bookclub, and other media sources. Our main focus is erotic romance, and in the coming year we are especially interested the following sub-genres. If you have an original, never before published work of 10K words or over, we hope you will consider submitting to Phaze Books. Some of the themes we're looking for include:

• Menages. We'd love to see more of these in any combination you have - MFM, MMF, FMF, FFM, MMM, FFF. Throw in a few more Ms and Fs if you wish!
• Lesbian romance. It's been a while since we published a full-length F/F novel. We've found quite a demand for them while attending conferences and Pride fairs.
• Interracial. BW/WM romance remains one of our strongest selling genres. Of course, we're open to all I/R combinations - passion is colorblind!
• Military romance. We love our men and women in uniform, and so do readers!
• Cowboys/Westerns. Our stable is sorely lacking. Come help us fill it with hot cowboy hunks!
